For your first day of volunteering, you must make an appointment with us at least 72 hours in advance, either to join our field team, or to take a truck tour. You must contact us at info@partageetsolidarite.org and have received written confirmation from a member of our team beforehand.
In the field, the tasks consist mainly of sorting the food. Other tasks may also be entrusted to you, depending on the needs of the preparation/distribution in progress.
In the truck, you will have to drive if you are a driver, or assist the person driving if you are a co-driver. In both cases, you will also have to carry boxes and push carts to load the truck.
Yes, because the work in the field is mainly done standing; it may require lifting boxes and pushing carts. Although seated, work on the road also requires lifting boxes and pushing carts.
You will receive two baskets of food at the end of each participation.
We suggest that you wear clothes in which you feel comfortable. As sorting food is a messy activity, we suggest that you avoid putting on your favorite clothes.
Wearing closed shoes is mandatory for your safety.
Please note that volunteers are responsible for their personal items such as jewelry, phones and other items.
