OUR FREE FOOD BASKETS
Thanks to the diversity of our 50 partner merchants, our free food baskets are made up of fruit and vegetables, bread and a wide variety of rich products. Healthy eating means better health.
The eminent Dr. Julie St-Pierre talks about Partage & Solidarité in Redonner la santé à toute la famille, published by Edito in March 21. "This kind of initiative should be replicated everywhere," she emphasizes.
How to receive a food basket
Our food baskets are for everyone. They are available free of charge, without requesting proof or documents. All you have to do is choose the counter and the time slot that suits you, and show up with your bags on the key date.
We currently have 6 free food counters available. See the list below and learn how to book your free food basket at Partage & Solidarité.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Partage & Solidarité visits different neighborhoods every week to offer free food. Our primary mission is to fight food waste, so we distribute what we salvage from stores. We don't buy it. Despite our vigilance in the sorting process, not-so-good products sometimes inadvertently find their way into your baskets. If this happens, please hand in any unsuitable products to the person in charge.
IMPORTANT:
At home, you have the responsibility to
1. wash and clean fruits and vegetables
2. check very carefully any meat, fish and/or every prepared dish containing any meat or fish
3. put the bread in the oven
4. look, smell, clean, reheat if necessary, and taste each product before eating it, because it's food from food recovery.
Anyone receiving free food from Partage & Solidarité hereby undertakes to have read and understood the above information, and to release the organization from all liability for any possible consequences.
Very important, if you can no longer attend:
Out of respect for the entire Partage & Solidarité team and for all those who could benefit from food aid, it is essential that you cancel your appointment if you are unable to attend your basket pick-up. To do so, please contact us directly at info@partageetsolidarite.com to notify us of your absence. info@partageetsolidarite.com pour nous aviser de votre absence.
